The Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen strive to make exhibitions, museum buildings and programs accessible to everyone.

Parking

Parking lots at rathaus E5

Three designated parking spaces for people with disabilities are located between Rathaus E5 and quadrate E4. Only one of them is accessible at the moment because of construction at city hall. The distance to the museum complex is around 100 meters. Another parking lot is located between quadrates D4 and D5.

Pakring garage at the Museum Weltkulturen D5

The first lower level of the parking garage underneath the World Cultures Museum D5 has two parking spaces for people with disabilities and can be exited by elevator (0.90 m x 1.40 m). Use the west exit. The doors do not open automatically.

Be aware that you have to take at least two stairs when leaving the second lower level.

Carers

A carer entered in the disability identification card (code B or H) receives free admission (in addition to a guide dog if necessary).

Restrooms

All restrooms in the facilities of the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen are wheelchair accessible.

Information for...

Wheelchair users

The Museum Zeughaus, Museum Weltkulturen and Museum Bassermannhaus are fully accessible for wheelchair users and other visitors unable to climb stairs. All three museums have wheelchair accessible elevators.

Will the museum provide wheelchairs and rollators?

  • Yes. We're able to provide this service at the Museum Zeughaus and the Museum Weltkulturen. Please ask for wheelchairs and rollators at the information.

Visiually impaired visitors

Guide dogs: Guide dogs are welcome in exhibitions at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen.
